Septia.Mieke Custom Label

Assalamualaikum 🙂

Sampai akhirnya, kami kurang mengurusi Hermosa by SM.

Last project kami adalah pernikahan teman kami. It was a disaster. Kami sungguh-sungguh menjadi super cranky dan desperate. Beberapa pengiriman Hermosa by SM pun terhambat.

Check @hermosabysm instagram for more info.

How to Dress (based on Mr Tim Gunn and then added by me me me!)

Oh hello bello!

Assalamualaikum

Still 2014 still sleepy still need to update several procurement document but still spare an hour or two to blog and browse hahaha. Anyways, I pinterest-ed (is that even a word?) minutes ago then I stumbled to this quotes from our fashion guy Mr Tim Gunn.

1. SILHOUETTE: “When getting dressed, think of your body as a series of thirds; the worst thing you can do is cut yourself in half. Pair a top that ends at your waist (one third) with long pants (two thirds), or wear a knee-length dress that goes no longer than the bottom of your kneecap.”

2. PROPORTION: “If you have something loose and blousy on top, whatever you wear below should be sleek and well fitted to serve as a counterpoint, and vice versa.”

3. FIT: “Most women wear clothes that are too big — that’s the comfort trap. Women don’t want to feel constrained, but I say, if you want to dress to feel as though you never got out of bed, then don’t.”

– Tim Gunn

If you still curious about this man, you can re-watch Project runway and you can easily spot his face as one of the judges. Tim Gunn is a fashion consultant in USA.

Well well let’s back to his quotes. Halo, Mr Tim Gunn I think I’m gonna add a little bit explanation for those rules. You know because I want to straighten any assumption people get when they read this (Oh ok, Does anyone read my blog?? Hihi)

SILLHOUTE

Divide our body into 3 parts? Hoooow? Well anyway, after quite a long time staring at the rule then stare at my body then stare back at the rule and stare at my body then I realize what it means. We should make our leg looks longer so we can be taller. How to do that?

Ok for me I usually use high waist skirt, t-shirt (slip it into the high waist skirt), outerwear (to cover my butt (sorry) so I don’t look tooo shapey). I will post the example later hehehe

PROPORTION

ok, if you want to have a loose top, just make sure that you don’t use everything loose from head to toe. You need to make it balance. Loose top can be paired with pencil skirt. Wide skirt can be paired with well fitted t-shirt and a vest. The power word here is PROPORTIONAL, so make it proportional enough.

FIT

You know the definition of FIT doesn’t mean you need to wear some apparel below your size so it look press body (I assume several women think that’s what FIT means). Wear the one which fits you, the one who makes you comfortable. I think FIT here means comfortable. Not tooo big not tooo small.

I think as a matter of fact, what Mr Tim Gunn tried to tell us is that please wear anything to make ur body looks proportional. Proportional! not skinnier or heavier. Proportional here doesn’t mean that you have to look like a size 0 or 2 models. You just need to look as human as possible and as comfortable as possible.

Whatever u wear, if you were already super thin or curvy you will still look like that. The only thing we can do is to make it proportional, comfortable, and well normal. Stylish is bonus. Hahahah

One thing for sure, I want us (women) to be subjects not objects. So please wear some modest apparels 🙂 With modest apparels, you can still look stylish, beautiful, and edgy.

That’s all from me about dressy dressy thingy.

Happy 31th December 2014. Hope 2015 can be a super super super better year for all of us though for me January 1st is just a usual day (try to deny that I need to face a new year which means new procurement things because we have new “APBN” meeehhh), hahahah but anyway Have a great and joyful daaaaay

My Favo Headscarf Fabric Revealed!

Assalamualaikum wr. wb.

Helloo Belllooooo..

Bismillaaah.. saya mulai yaaa..

I will share about the style as soon as possible yaaa..

hopefully this post can help you all women out there to find your signature hijab fabric yang sesuai syariah, cover apa yang harus dicover, dan inshaAllah berproses menjadi semakin baik 🙂

Adios Muggles!

Latest Favo : Sneakers feat Long Skirt

My latest favorite style is mixing long skirt with sneakers. We can instantly look effortlessly edgy and stylish by using this. You can use whatever kind of sneakers. It can be converse, New Balance, Nike, Adidas, etc. Long dress, maxi dress, maxi skirt, pencil skirt, or even midi skirt will be great with this.

This also can be another choice for woman with hijab. You don’t need to look like “ibu-ibu” or toooo girly when you use hijab.. you still can have a simple look and edgy look with hijab.. by using this. 😀

Let’s try this look 🙂

Latest Talk : Simple Hijab Style

Lately, it’s such a common thing for us finding women with hijab walking around in Jakarta. Hijab is not an odd or a weird thing anymore. Hijab simply become a trend. Well I am not really comfortable with the word trend, because IMHO trend means that women use hijab to impress people not for the sake of God.

Most of us know that Hijab is a must for moslem women. It protect us from several things. We can easily find the order to wear it in Quran Surah An Nur Chapter 30 -31. I don’t want to talk about this in a matter of Religion, because sometimes it can be quite sensitive. I want to talk about it in a matter of how comfortable it is to look as modest as possible with hijab (absolutely not overly used with too much things and style).

lately, I’m in love with the idea of using hijab as simple as possible (and also covered your chest). Several hijab icon like Ria Miranda, Fitri Aulia and Indira Putri are my favorites. They look beautiful and modest. I don’t think they need to use over “stylish” hijab style.

I am also still trying to be modest, covering the chest, and being simple. Hopefully everything goes well because sometimes I can be really “asalan” then cover my head with “yang penting nutup” style hahaha (d’uh bahasanya campur campur…)

Have a joyful life ahead.. 🙂
Let’s start to use hijab the way it should be wore..
